The Washington Post Politics blog reported yesterday that President Obama is expected to sign an executive order today that will create a White House Council on Women and Girls. Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser and personal friend to the president, will Chair the council. Day-to-day operations will be run by Tina Tchen, who is the third high-ranking Asian American to be announced for a senior White House position.
