Here’s what we’ve been checking out online this week:

Amplify published a really interesting blog post by Advocates for Youth board member Mark Hiew called Chinese youth and their quiet sexual revolution.

On This is My Truth, Sahjukta blogs about the plans in place for Queer Pride India

And on Akimbo:
Senate Confirms Dr. Eric Goosby as U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator

IWHC President Adrienne Germain wrote her very first blog post while she was in Rome: Standing up for Women at the G8 International Parliamentarians’ Conference

Lori Adelman interviewed author Michelle Goldberg and Audacia Ray edited it (video above). Lori also wrote a post in the Feministing Community about being inspired by Michelle.

Our colleague Melissa Ditmore wrote a post about the encouraging new State Department Trafficking in Persons Report and its improved framing of sex work and trafficking.

Susanna Smith wrote a really thoughtful piece about adult male circumcision in Africa and expressed her concerns about the emphasis on this HIV prevention method (to the tune of the Gates Foundation $50 million funding to go toward circumcision over the next five years).

We posted a conversation between IWHC Program Officer for Africa Lyn Messner; IWHC partner Delphine Serumaga, Executive Director of People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) in Johannesburg, South Africa; and Nhlanhla, Front-line Services Co-ordinator at POWA about “Abduction” and Forced Marriage in South Africa
