Clarence Gbessay Lamie

What actions are you taking to promote and protect the health and rights of women and young people worldwide?

The actions are as follows: presently I am involved with a reproductive health sensitization program. We work on the prevention of unwanted pregnancy, STIs incluginv HIV/AIDS, gender based violence; and the settling of disputes among youth on campus and in the community. This is all on a voluntary basis since of course we don’t have the support now.

What is your vision of lasting change for yourself and for the world's young people?

My vision for lasting change for the world’s young people is to see the respect for every person’s human rights and dignity, especially when it comes to sexual reproductive health, gender based violence, peaceful co-existence, and opportunities for young people to be able to realize their visions and talents.

If you could tell world leaders one thing, what would it be?

Young people are future leaders, therefore, all their rights and dignities should be protected.
