So, the psychic octopus was right—Germany didn’t make it into the top two, but will they be able to beat out the super-skilled Uruguayan team today?  That, I can’t tell you, but I can tell you a little more about women’s lives in these two countries:

Uruguay vs. Germany

The Uruguayan government has established specialized courts to deal with cases of domestic violence.

After a birth or the adoption of a child, both mothers and fathers in Germany are eligible to receive 67 percent of their regular pay for up to 12 months of parental leave.
