As a young person who wants to help my fellow young brothers and sisters in rural, northern Uganda, I would use the $1,000 Young Visionaries contest grant like this:

    • Organize a sexual and reproductive health and rights meeting to inform young people of their rights, and to empower them to stand up and speak up for their rights.
    • Arrange meeting with a parliamentarian who works on youth issues to inform him of our youth meeting, and introduce our youth sexuality and reproductive health and rights plan of action.
    • Conduct consultative meetings with the church leaders on their views on youth sexuality, unsafe abortion, and comprehensive abortion care, and challenge them to think about what young people need.
