Nicole Heidbreder, who is on IWHC’s New Leadership Committee and is also a doula with DONA International, was featured in a short MSNBC piece about home birth and doulas as coaches.

Johns Hopkins University has launched a new website, Resources for HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Health Integration, which provides a comprehensive knowledge base for health professionals working to integrate the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS with sexual and reproductive health services.

Gender Across Borders blogged about a new hotline that women in Chile (where abortion is illegal) can call to get access to medical abortion using the abortifacient drug Misoprostol.

The Guttmacher Institute has released a 28-page report on Barriers to Safe Motherhood in Nigeria – also check out their (much shorter) press release on the subject.

Chelsea Ricker wrote up an assessment of the new UN Guidelines for Universal Access for MSM and Transgender People and what’s good, bad, and awesome about them.

Susanna Smith wrote about thank Honduran President Zelaya for protecting reproductive rights by vetoing a bill that the Congress of Honduras passed last month, which would have made it illegal to sell, purchase, distribute, or use emergency contraception.
