The GGR required organizations receiving US funding to provide family planning services to withhold information, services, or referrals related to abortion, even if an organization does so with their own private funds and regardless of the laws of that country. This policy is used as a political football and a permanent legislative fix is needed to ensure that women do not continue to suffer as a result of an Administration that does not believe in providing women the full range of information and services so that they can make healthy decisions about their own lives.
